Privacy Policy
Forfans LLC ("we", "us") establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of user information on "Anisongs" (https://anisongs.jp, including the website, mobile app, API, and MCP server for AI assistants; the "Service") operated by us.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to all of the following:
- The website https://anisongs.jp
- The "Anisongs" mobile app (iOS / Android)
- The API and MCP connectors for AI assistants (such as ChatGPT and Claude)
2. Information We Collect
The Service is designed for anonymous use; creating an account does not require your name or email address. We collect the following information:
2-1. Information you provide
- Contact form: name, email address, and inquiry content
- Nickname (optional), playlist names, and playlist creator name (optional)
2-2. Account identifiers
- Anonymous account identifier (a randomly issued token)
- Device identifier and device name (e.g., iPhone) — used to link the app to your account
- Account recovery phrase — we store only a hashed value, never the phrase itself
2-3. Tool inputs and outputs of AI connectors (MCP) and the API
When you use the Service's tools through an AI assistant, we receive and process the following request data to provide the Service:
- Inputs: search terms (anime titles, artist names, lyricist/composer/arranger names, eras, categories such as OP/ED), and for playlist creation, the selected track IDs, playlist name, optional creator name, and language setting, as well as queries such as purity checks
- Outputs: database information on songs, works, artists, and production credits, and the receipt link of the created playlist
Your conversation with the AI assistant itself is processed by the AI platform (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) under its own privacy policy. We receive only the tool-call inputs and outputs described above. Of these tool calls, we retain only two kinds of records: (1) a usage record consisting of the tool name, execution time, and anonymous account identifier, and (2) the contents of playlists created through the tools (retention periods are set out in Section 7). We do not keep the search terms or output results themselves in any separate permanent log.
2-4. Usage and technical information
- Usage events in the app and on the site (operation logs such as screen views and playlist creation/export, linked to the anonymous account and device identifiers)
- Click statistics on external links — IP addresses and browser information are stored only in hashed form
- Server access logs (IP address, access time, browser type, referrer)
- Information stored in cookies, local storage, and similar identifiers (language preference and third-party cookies described below)
2-5. Billing information
If you purchase a paid plan, we receive purchase/subscription status (plan type, expiry, transaction identifiers) from the payment providers (Apple, Google, Stripe). We never collect or store payment details such as credit card numbers.
3. Purposes of Use
- Providing and operating the Service (search, playlist creation/sharing/export, account recovery)
- Analyzing usage, improving quality, and developing new features
- Detecting and preventing unauthorized access, misuse, and excessive automated access
- Providing paid plans and managing billing status
- Responding to and communicating about inquiries
- Ad delivery and ad performance measurement (website only)
- Fulfilling legal obligations
4. Playlist Publication
Playlists you create can be viewed by anyone who has the receipt link. If you set a playlist to public, it will be displayed — with its name, optional creator name, and track list — in the Service's public gallery and may be indexed by search engines. You can unpublish or delete playlists at any time from within the Service.
5. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell your information. We do not provide personal information to third parties except as required by law or with your consent. The following sharing occurs only as necessary to provide the Service:
- Export to music services: when you export a playlist to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc., the playlist information (track titles, artist names, etc.) is sent to that service. Authentication with each service is handled by your own account with that provider; we never store your login credentials
- AI platforms: when using AI connectors, tool-call outputs (search results, receipt links, etc.) reach you via the AI platform (such as OpenAI or Anthropic)
- Payment providers: Apple, Google, and Stripe process payments
- Hosting/infrastructure: Service data is stored on servers in Japan operated by GMO Pepabo, Inc. ("Lolipop!")
- Contractors: where we entrust processing to contractors to the extent necessary for the purposes above, we supervise them appropriately
6. Cookies and Third-Party Services (Website)
The website uses cookies for convenience, analytics, and advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working. The mobile app and MCP connectors do not include the following advertising/analytics services.
6-1. Google AdSense (advertising)
Ad providers may use cookies to display ads tailored to your interests based on access information to this and other sites (this does not include name, address, email address, or phone number). Publisher ID: pub-9983848994760525
- Google Policies & Terms - Advertising: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com/
- Opt out from third-party ad providers: https://optout.aboutads.info/
6-2. Google Analytics 4 (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. Collected information is anonymized and does not identify individuals. Measurement ID: G-JEPRP89S6W. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6-3. reCAPTCHA (spam prevention)
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3, subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6-4. Amazon Associates (affiliate)
The website participates in the Amazon Associates Program of Amazon.co.jp; some links may earn referral fees.
7. Retention Periods
- Anonymous accounts, playlists, recovery phrase (hash): until you delete them or we receive a deletion request
- Temporary account-linking codes: expire in 5–10 minutes and are not reused
- Usage events and click statistics: up to 2 years from collection
- Tool-call records of the AI connectors (MCP) and the API (tool name, execution time, anonymous account identifier): up to 2 years from collection, as usage events. Playlists created through the tools follow the playlist retention period above
- Server access logs: up to 1 year from collection
- Inquiries: deleted within 1 year after resolution in principle
- Billing status: retained per statutory tax/accounting retention periods
8. Security
Communications are encrypted with TLS. Recovery phrases are stored hashed, and IP addresses/browser information in click statistics are also hashed. Data is managed on servers located in Japan, with reasonable safeguards against unauthorized access.
9. Your Controls and Rights
- Deleting or unpublishing playlists: available at any time from within the Service
- Deleting your account (anonymous identifier) and related data: request via the contact form. Because the Service is anonymous by design, verification requires your identifier (token or recovery phrase)
- Disclosure, correction, suspension of use: for personal information, we respond promptly within a reasonable scope after verifying identity
- Refusing cookies: use your browser settings and the opt-out tools in Section 6
10. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
