Toshiko Fujita

Artist

A vocalist who, while playing many leading roles as a voice actress, also left a strong presence in anime themes. She sang classic themes from the medium's formative years, such as the opening 'Dororo no Uta' for Osamu Tezuka's unusual work 'Dororo' and the opening 'Moomin no Theme' for 'Moomin', which depicts Nordic fairies. She left her voice across works of wide-ranging style, including the opening 'Sarutobi Etchan' and the ending 'Buku no Uta' of the comedy anime 'Sarutobi Etchan' and the ending 'Haha-uesama' of the wit-filled favorite 'Ikkyu-san'. Having also handled the opening and ending of 'Manga Nippon Emaki' and the ending 'Merry wa Tada no Tomodachi' of 'Kiteretsu Daihyakka', she supported many memorable Showa-anime scenes through music with her expressive voice.
