A voice actor who long served as the original TV Asahi-era voice of Gian (Takeshi Goda) in 'Doraemon'. In the film 'Doraemon: Nobita's Great Adventure into the Underworld' he belted out the insert song 'Ore wa Gian-sama da!' — for which he himself wrote the lyrics, with music by Shunsuke Kikuchi — carrying his bold character straight into song. He also sang 'Boku Doraemon' in the film, and these numbers, beloved alongside the image of Gian singing in the vacant lot, show how he enlivened the work through character songs.
