A singer who performed many anime theme songs in the 1970s and 80s. With a bright, expansive voice, the title song for Tondera House no Daiboken conveyed the fun of adventure, while the theme for Patalliro!, based on Mineo Maya's manga, carried the comical, idiosyncratic air of that work. With songs across a wide range of styles, she was one of the voices that colored the anime of her time.
