A singer who performed theme songs for robot and sci-fi anime from the late 1970s into the 1980s. He sang 'Come Here! Daitarn 3' for 'Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3,' and for 'The Super Dimension Fortress Macross' he handled both the opening 'Macross' and the ending 'Runner,' leaving voices emblematic of that work. He also performed 'Itsuka Kurofune' and 'Furimukeba Rhapsody' for 'Techno Police 21C,' known for a powerful yet wistful singing style.
