A collaboration between Ichiro Mizuki, the 'King of Anime Song', and the children's chorus Columbia Yurikago-kai that left many themes for super-robot anime. It produced classics symbolizing Showa-era robot anime, beginning with the opening 'Mazinger Z' and ending 'Bokura no Mazinger Z' of 'Mazinger Z', which set a milestone in the history of robot anime based on Go Nagai's work, along with the opening 'Ore wa Great Mazinger' of the sequel 'Great Mazinger' and the theme of the combining-robot pioneer 'Chodenji Robo Combattler V'. The sound, uniting a powerful solo with the children's spirited chorus, established the heroic image through music and has been sung across generations.
