A female vocalist active since the 1960s who handled many classic themes from the medium's formative years, including Osamu Tezuka works. She sang the opening 'Ribbon no Kishi' of the Tezuka-based anime 'Princess Knight', symbolizing the work with her clear voice. Known as a pioneering figure of magical-girl anime, she was widely beloved for themes of the Toei magical-girl series, such as the opening 'Mahou no Mako-chan' of 'Mahou no Mako-chan' and the opening 'Majokko Megu-chan' and ending 'Lonely Cinderella' of 'Majokko Megu-chan'. Having also handled 'Rainbow Sentai Robin', she carved her name into the history of Showa-era anime with her soaring, graceful voice.
