An enka singer from Akita Prefecture in the Tohoku region. For 'Wasurenai', the theme song of the anime 'Little Charo: Tohoku Arc', she wrote the lyrics herself, with music by Hidekazu Uchiike, who also scored the series - her first anime theme, and one she filled with feeling for her home region. Her emotive voice warmly accompanies a story that travels a Tohoku still marked by the disaster.
