fripSide is a Japanese electronic and dance music unit centered around composer and producer Satoshi Yaginuma. Armed with high-speed, driving sound and powerful vocals, the group has become one of the most recognized names in anime music. They are especially well known for their work on the A Certain Scientific Railgun franchise, having performed the opening themes only my railgun and LEVEL5-judgelight- for the first season, as well as sister's noise for the sequel series. Their uplifting trance-influenced sound paired with soaring melodies has become a signature part of the Railgun viewing experience. Through continued releases and anime tie-ins, fripSide has established itself as a defining act of the modern anisong scene, with a fanbase that reaches far beyond Japan.
