キヨウラナツミ

Natsumi Kiyoura is a Japanese female singer whose airy, crystal-clear voice has made her a natural choice for anime that lean into a delicate, lyrical mood. She first attracted wide attention within the anime music community with her performance of "Tabi no Tochuu" ("On the Journey"), the opening theme of Spice and Wolf (Ookami to Koushinryou), the autumnal medieval-Europe-inspired series in which a traveling merchant is accompanied by a wolf deity disguised as a young woman. Her gentle, folk-tinged vocal on that track became closely tied to the show's contemplative, road-trip-across-the-harvest-lands atmosphere. She has since continued to specialize in songs that carry a quietly emotional, softly lit feel. Her other credits include "Hologram," the ending theme of Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle, and the opening theme of the tender yuri romance Sasameki Koto. Across all of these, Kiyoura's understated, finely textured delivery continues to find a home in anime that prize emotional subtlety.
