Megumi Nakajima is a Japanese female voice actress and singer who made her voice-acting debut in the lead role of Ranka Lee, the bright-eyed young pop idol heroine of Macross Frontier. Because the Macross franchise famously leans on in-universe singing as a plot device, Nakajima served not only as Ranka's speaking voice but also as her singing voice, launching her music career in the same stroke as her acting one. The combination made her one of the breakout stars of the late-2000s anison boom, beloved for her clean, refreshingly natural vocal tone that suggests sunshine and springtime. Beyond her career-defining Macross Frontier work, she has contributed to many other anime projects, including the insert song "Koi no Puzzle wo Toite" ("Solve the Puzzle of Love") for Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle (Puzzle of God), a TV anime about a cadre of brilliant puzzle-solvers.
