Asuka Kudou is one of the main characters of Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They? (Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?), an anime based on the light novel series by Taro Tatsunoko. A refined young lady from the Kudou family, one of the great Showa-era zaibatsu conglomerates of early-twentieth-century Japan, she is summoned into the magical alternate world of Little Garden carrying the poise and dignity of a noble upbringing along with a formidable gift ability that lets her command others with her voice. She is thrown together with two other problem children drawn from different times to take on the high-stakes games that rule the otherworldly realm. Asuka is voiced by Sara Emi Bridcutt, a bilingual Japanese voice actress whose elegant tone suits the character perfectly. Performing in character, Bridcutt also recorded the insert song Scarlet, a dramatic track created to accompany the show's more emotional moments. The song stands as one of the series' most memorable musical flourishes for fans of Asuka.
