A composer and arranger from Hokkaido. Formerly with Square Enix, he is known worldwide for writing music for classic games such as SaGa Frontier 2, Unlimited Saga, Final Fantasy X (co-composed with Nobuo Uematsu and others), and the Final Fantasy XIII series. His strongest traits are a classical, lyrical style and delicate orchestration that holds both stillness and passion. Since going independent, he has continued to provide music for visual and game works. For the TV anime To Your Eternity series, he composed and arranged the ending themes Mediator and Recollections across the first season, Season 2, and Season 3, tracing the protagonist Fushi's long journey and quiet emotions with beautiful melodies.
