Polys is an idol unit under avex entertainment, formed to perform 'Shutsudou! Robocar Poli,' the opening theme of the Japanese dub of Robocar Poli, a South Korean preschool animated series about a team of rescue vehicles protecting a friendly town. Aligned with the TV Tokyo broadcast, the unit did more than sing: they appeared in live-action segments tied to the show and visited kindergartens and nurseries alongside the series mascots. With members including Saki Yamakita, their energetic, catchy chorus and choreography brightened a children's road-safety-themed anime and gave preschool viewers a theme song they could easily sing and remember.
