Hina & Kana
Artist
A character unit by the two heroines of the TV anime Okitsura: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Knew What She's Saying. Akari Kito as Hinaa Higa, a bright and unaffected classmate of the protagonist who speaks Okinawan dialect, and Fairouz Ai as Kanaa Kyan, her honest cousin, sing a beloved Okinawan song perfectly suited to the story's setting. For the ending theme they cover Shimanchu nu Takara, a signature song by the Okinawa-born band BEGIN. Overlaying the melody's longing for home and loved ones with the warm relationship of the two heroines and Okinawan scenery, the cover gently closes each episode and leaves a lasting impression.
