After apprentice years in apparel work and the Nagoya club scene led to a late-blooming career, she has been dubbed a 'late-blooming diva' and, with a soulful, embracing voice, draws support for both her originals and her covers of classics. She has contributed songs to a wide range of works, including 'Mada Shiranai Story' for the TV anime The Young Lady Has Awakened—as a Pigkin, 'Kimi wa' the theme of the theatrical anime The Witch of Mushrooms, and the drama theme 'Hidamari'.
