Mika Arisaka

Artist

アリサカミカ

Female singer from Kanagawa Prefecture. She moved to the United States alone in her teens, joined a musical theater group in California, studied gospel and jazz, and later entered Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. After returning to Japan she worked as a chorus and backing vocalist, then stepped onto the anime-song stage with 'dis-' and 'Yume wo Sugitemo,' the opening and ending of Infinite Ryvius. On 'Getsumei Fuei,' the ending of The Twelve Kingdoms, her ethnic melody and soaring voice weave the work's deep emotion. Armed with the expressiveness gospel taught her, she has made her presence felt in anime themes that trace the folds of feeling.
