DAOKO

Artist

DAOKO is a Tokyo-born female singer and rapper. She drew attention by posting singing and rap videos on Niconico Douga in junior high and made her major-label debut in 2015. A distinctive style that blends rap, poetry reading and whispered vocals, along with an ear for floating, dreamy tracks, has built her a dedicated following. She is widely known for 'Uchiage Hanabi' with Kenshi Yonezu, the theme of Fireworks. On the anime side she wrote 'Tsuki no Hana' as the theme of the film Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos, and has handled 'Iiyo', the ending of Who Made Me a Princess, and 'Haikei Goodbye Sayonara', the ending of Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul.
