Bialystocks is a music unit centered on Sora Hokimoto on vocals and guitar and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi on keys. True to Hokimoto's parallel work as a film director, their sound is cinematic and richly shaded, with ensemble work rooted in jazz and soul. For 「Kotozute」, the ending theme of the anime Ikoku Nikki, Kikuchi composed the music while he and Hokimoto co-wrote the lyrics, delivering an honest closing song designed to sit beside the story rather than disrupt it, meeting where the two characters intersect.
