A music-based character rap project from King Records in which male voice actors take on the roles of rappers engaged in mic battles. Made up of eighteen characters across six divisions, Ikebukuro, Yokohama, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Osaka, and Nagoya, it fans out across music releases, stage productions, anime, smartphone apps, and manga as a wide-ranging media mix. In the theatrical film 'Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-', all divisions come together to perform the anthem 'Hypnosis Mic -Division Battle Anthem- +', splendidly rounding off an audience-vote participatory rap-battle movie whose story shifts with each screening.
