Female singer and actress from Fukagawa, Koto Ward, Tokyo. The younger sister of Hiromi Iwasaki, she debuted with 'Aka to Kuro,' later shifting from the idol lane to expressive vocal artistry. Her signature song 'Touch' (lyrics: Chin-Hwa Kang, music: Hiroaki Serizawa), the OP of the Fuji TV anime Touch, has been beloved across generations; she also performed the show's ED themes 'Ai ga Hitoribocchi' and 'Che! Che! Che!.' Recognized with a Gold Prize at the Japan Record Awards, 'Touch' stands as a Showa-era anison monument still sung today.
