Artist

JYOCHO is a progressive pop band based in Kyoto. Formed around the virtuoso guitarist Daijiro (Daijiro Nakagawa), they develop a one-of-a-kind sound that blends complex, fluid guitar phrases with acoustic guitar, piano and flute. With crystalline female vocals and playing that is at once delicate and dynamic, they create a distinctive sonic world that has earned passionate support from math-rock and post-rock fans at home and abroad. Their anime tie-ins include the ending themes "Minna Onaji" for Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside and "Michibiki, Sasagete" for its sequel, as well as "Tagai no Uchu" for Junji Ito Collection, "Iu Toori" for Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre, and "Utamahi" for Mr. Kusunoki's Garden of the Gods, beautifully coloring fantastical and delicate story worlds.
