SID
Artist
SID is a four-piece rock band consisting of Mao (vocals), Aki (bass), Shinji (guitar) and Yuuya (drums). Emerging from the visual-kei scene, they have gone on to win broad support even in the mainstream, armed with lyrical, bittersweet melodies and a literary lyrical world. Their unique appeal lies in the union of Mao's sultry, alluring vocals with the band's refined playing. They are particularly strong in anime tie-ins: "Monochrome no Kiss," an opening theme for Black Butler, is one of their signature songs, and they have accompanied the franchise for years through works such as the ending "Shokuzai" for Black Butler: Public School Arc and the theme song "Garasu no Hitomi" for the film Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic. Other anime credits include the opening "Omokage" for Heaven Official's Blessing Season 2, "delete" for The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods, and "Rasen no Yume" for Altair: A Record of Battles.
