PENGUIN RESEARCH is a Japanese five-piece rock band led by vocalist Yoji Ikuta and bassist-composer Shota Horie. Horie is also known as the Vocaloid producer kemu and a prolific songwriter for anime and games. Armed with a straightforward rock sound that hurls passionate, direct lyrics and Ikuta's powerful vocals, the band has carved out a firm presence in the anime song scene. They have delivered many rousing theme songs including 'Fire and Fear' for Wistoria: Wand and Sword, 'Hengenjizai' for Ars no Kyojuu, 'Spotlight' for the OVA Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, and 'Button' for ReLIFE.
