Kotone is a singer-songwriter from Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, signed to Victor Entertainment. After winning an audition program, she made her major-label debut in 2019. With a delicate yet firm voice and lyrics that feel true to life, she has gained a steady following. For the animated film 'Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni (The Tale of the Land of Gold and the Land of Water),' she performed three insert songs—'Brand New World,' 'Yasashii Yokan,' and 'Love Birds'—pairing with composer Evan Call to color the film's world, and she continues to broaden her activities with numerous drama theme songs as a singer-songwriter.
