Hikaru Utada is a Japanese female singer-songwriter. She made a striking debut in 1998 with the single "Automatic/time will tell," and her first album "First Love," released the following year, posted one of the biggest sales figures in J-pop history. She has since remained a widely supported artist both in Japan and internationally.
