Kessoku Band is a character-band credit from the TV anime "Bocchi the Rock!" featuring the four high-school girl protagonists: Hitori Gotoh (voiced by Yoshino Aoyama), Nijika Ijichi (Sayumi Suzushiro), Ryo Yamada (Saku Mizuno), and Ikuyo Kita (Ikumi Hasegawa). With instrumental performances handled by session musicians, the band released the opening theme "Seishun Complex," the ending theme "Distortion!!," and more, exploding in popularity thanks to their authentic rock sound and wryly honest lyrics that transcended the "character music" label.
