Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is a Japanese female singer, model, and media personality from Tokyo, signed to Asobi System. She began her career as a reader model in 2009 when a Harajuku street snap appeared in the fashion magazine "KERA." The music video for "PONPONPON" from her 2011 major debut single went viral globally, turning her into an international icon. Produced by Yasutaka Nakata, her discography includes Harajuku pop anthems such as "Tsukema Tsukeru," "Fashion Monster," and "Ninja Re Bang Bang," and she has contributed songs to anime including the TV series "Ninjala."
