EGOIST is a Japanese music unit centered on producer ryo of supercell, with vocals by chelly, who was chosen through an audition. Originally created as an in-universe artist for the TV anime "Guilty Crown"—where heroine Inori Yuzuriha was presented as the singer—the project expanded well beyond. EGOIST has since provided theme songs for acclaimed series including "Psycho-Pass" and "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," leaving a major mark on anime music with their grand, ornate soundscapes and chelly's translucent voice.
