Artist

A celebrated Japanese singer and actress best known for her hit Yoake no Scat. A regular on NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen, she has crossed freely between children's music, kayoukyoku and even international jazz collaborations. For anime she sang Soshite... Ikinasai, the ending of Onihei adapted from Shotaro Ikenami's novels, breathing maturity into a wistful melody composed by Kohei Tanaka. With her elder sister Sachiko Yasuda she also performed the opening Niji-iro no Sunadokei and the ending Hoshi ga Utatta Monogatari for Kasumin 2nd Series, leaving anime songs that stir nostalgia and innocence.
