A singer-songwriter and model from Tokyo. After breaking through on the TV program saku saku, she scored a major hit with Riruraribuha and went on to become a household name with Butterfly, a wedding-day staple performed at the Kohaku Uta Gassen. Blending pop-rock with electronica, folk, and other styles, she has paired her music with anime and character works, including the theme song Happy Ending for the animated film Rudolf the Black Cat and the opening of NHK E's Hanakappa.
