A singer-songwriter from Yamanashi Prefecture. He made his major debut as vocalist and guitarist of the trio Remioromen, penning hits such as Sangatsu Kokonoka and Konayuki, and writing nearly all the band's lyrics and most of its music with his lyrical pen and earnest, full-bodied voice. After the band's hiatus he turned to solo work, releasing multiple albums and hosting the outdoor festival Mt.FUJIMAKI in his home prefecture. He provided go my way, the ending theme for the TV anime Endride, pushing the heroes onward with a powerful melody.
