A female singer-songwriter from Fukuoka Prefecture. As a young teenager she sent her own demo tapes to a label audition that drew attention, and made her major debut with the single Hane. Her third single Kamisama Hajimemashita / Kamisama Onegai brought in Shuichi Manabe (formerly of Soutaiseiriron) as sound producer and was the first time she sang material she had not written. Across both seasons of the TV anime Kamisama Kiss, based on Julietta Suzuki's manga, she provided themes including the openings Kamisama no Kamisama and Kamisama Hajimemashita and the ending Ototoi Oide, coloring the human-yokai romance with her sweet, husky voice and retro sensibility.
