Female singer-songwriter from Tokyo born into a musical family as the daughter of world-renowned composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and singer-songwriter Akiko Yano, raised on YMO and Kraftwerk as lullabies. She debuted at sixteen as Sister M on her fathers project before forging her own path under her real name with her translucent voice and singular sensibility. In anime she contributed ESCAPE to The Unlimited Hyobu Kyosuke, the spin-off of Zettai Karen Children, lending the dark heros story a fragile yet resolute vocal. She is also known as a radio personality and an advocate for cat welfare.
