Female singer from Fukuoka Prefecture. While attending Kwansei Gakuin University, she won the grand prize at the fourth All Japan Anisong Grand Prix from a field of over ten thousand entries, debuting with Morning Arch, the OP theme for the TV anime A-Channel. With a clear yet steady voice, she went on to perform Takaramono for Natsumes Book of Friends Season 4 and Kieru Daydream for Nekomonogatari Black in the Monogatari series, among others. Later credited as Marina Kawano, she has remained a beloved anison vocalist, drawing tenderness and quiet melancholy from a wide range of titles.
