A male singer from Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture. Rooted in the island folk songs (shimauta) of his hometown, he is known for a distinctive style often described as 'the gentlest voice on earth.' He has been deeply tied to the 'Natsume's Book of Friends' series, performing 'Natsuyuuzora' as the first season's ED and 'Kimi no Kakera feat. Emiri Miyamoto' as the third season's ED, and later releasing the self-cover album 'Best Covers ~Natsume's Book of Friends~.' He has also performed many anime songs steeped in Japanese aesthetics, including 'Koi,' the ending theme for 'Genji Monogatari Sennenki: Genji.'
