Sakuragaoka Light Music Club is the character-unit credit gathering the four light music club members of the TV anime K-ON! — Yui Hirasawa (voiced by Aki Toyosaki), Mio Akiyama (Yoko Hikasa), Ritsu Tainaka (Satomi Sato), and Tsumugi Kotobuki (Minako Kotobuki). On the opening theme Cagayake! GIRLS, Toyosaki sings lead with the other three providing chorus, paired with the ending theme Don't say lazy in what functioned as a double A-side. The releases reached unusually high Oricon ranks for character songs and helped push character-led anisong into the cultural mainstream.
