Ayaka is a Japanese female singer-songwriter from Osaka who made her major debut with the 2006 single I believe and won broad support with powerful yet delicate vocals and lyrics that mirror inner feeling. She has produced enduring hits such as Mikazuki and Nijiiro, the latter the theme song of the NHK morning drama Hanako to Anne. In anime, she contributed the ending theme Koikogarete Mita Yume to the TV anime Cross Game, wrapping the gentle afterglow of Mitsuru Adachi's baseball coming-of-age story in a focused voice and warmly textured melody.
