Ryoko Shiraishi is a voice actress and singer widely known for playing Hayate Ayasaki in Hayate the Combat Butler. Her strengths lie in her range, which spans both boy and girl characters, and her supple singing voice. In the anime Himawari! she played the heroine Himawari Hinata and sang the opening theme Taiyou no Kakera, going on to perform Sorairo no Tsubasa for the sequel Himawari!!. For Jin Kobayashi's modern-day yokai work Natsu no Arashi! she handled the ending theme Kirari Futari, with lyrics by Goro Matsui and music by Mine Okada, lending her fresh singing voice to its Showa-flavoured atmosphere. She also makes her presence felt in singing work beyond character songs.
