Asriel is a Japanese gothic/symphonic-metal unit consisting of KOKOMI (vocals, lyrics) and Keisuke Kurose (guitar, keyboards, composition and arrangement). After starting out in the doujin music scene, they made their major-label debut on 5pb. They handled numerous dark-fantasy anime tie-ins, including the opening theme 'Metamorphose' for 'Monochrome Factor' and the ending theme 'Sequentia' for '11eyes'. Their sound centres on majestic strings and KOKOMI's translucent soprano, and the unit name combines 'As Real' with Azrael, the angel of death.
