RAY-GUNS is a Japanese rock project led by vocalist Hiromu Hamaguchi. Hamaguchi first rose to prominence as the frontman of TOY BOYS during the 1990s band boom, then passed through projects such as SHOW-RI and CRAZE before forming RAY-GUNS with members including Masami Okazaki. In anime, they performed the later opening theme CENTURY COLOR for Yoshiyuki Tomino's Turn A Gundam, written by Tomino under the pen name Rin Iogi and composed and sung by Hamaguchi. The driving rock arrangement provided a sharp, propulsive counterpoint to Hideki Saijo's previous opening Turn A Turn, securing the song a distinctive place in the Gundam theme-song lineage.
