BAISER is a Japanese visual kei rock band active in the 1990s, featuring drummer KATSURA (formerly of SHAZNA), guitarists HIDERO and AKANE, and bassist HAIJI. With a gothic, decadent aesthetic and a richly shaded rock sound, they carved out a distinctive spot in the late-1990s visual kei scene. In anime, they performed the opening theme Prism for the comedy fantasy Gokudo the Adventurer, with lyrics by Yukinojo Mori and music by Murasaki, delivered through the band's dark yet poppy execution. The track lent an eerie shimmer to the freewheeling adventures of the rogue protagonist Gokudo and remains a fondly remembered piece for both the show's fans and the visual kei audience.
