Sizzle Ohtaka was a Japanese singer and voice performer known for a distinctive style that crosses genres. She drew wide attention in 1990 by covering Shoukichi Kina's 'Hana' for Fujifilm commercials and won the Japan Advertising Music Association's Best Vocalist Award, building the foundation of her career. Moving freely between classical, jazz, folk and world music, she contributed to anime by singing the ending theme 'Ai wa Umi' for 'I'm Gonna Be An Angel!', writing both the lyrics and the melody herself, with arrangement by Yoshikazu Suo. She was also widely familiar as a regular performer on NHK Educational's 'Nihongo de Asobo', and continuously expanded the expressive range of the voice through improvisation workshops such as 'Koe no Oekaki'.
