MISSION is a female idol group that emerged from auditions held on a Fuji TV variety show in 1998. Building their performances around a mix of dance and vocals, they handled the early ending theme 'Kawaii n ja nai?' for the 1999 TV anime 'Power Stone', adapted from the Capcom fighting game. Written, composed and arranged by PIPELINE PROJECT, the song charted at number 24 on the Oricon weekly chart and stayed in viewers' ears as the ending for episodes 1 to 14. They disbanded in 2000 without ever releasing an album, so their active period was short, but the impression of this ending keeps their name in circulation through anime music.
