Miwako Okuda

Miwako Okuda is a female singer from Yonago in Tottori Prefecture. In February 2000 she debuted on Sony Records under her real name, produced by Senri Oe, with her first release used as the ending theme 'Shizuku' for the Fuji TV anime 'GTO'. Combining a clear voice with introspective lyrics, she gave a lingering finish to the show's emotionally varied human drama. In anime she also sang the opening theme 'BORN' for the suspense period piece 'Le Chevalier D'Eon', with sound production by Daichi Suzuki, giving a heavy, atmospheric opening to a mysterious story set on the eve of the French Revolution. After later moving to BMG JAPAN she scored hits including drama themes, and from 2008 onward she has continued musical activity under the additional name 'Miwa Okuda'.
