Junko Takeuchi is a highly skilled voice actress often called second to none when it comes to playing boy roles. She became globally known for voicing Naruto Uzumaki in 'NARUTO', but one of the important works that built the foundation of that performance was the 1999 game-based robot-battle anime 'Medabots'. Playing the lead Medabot Metabee, she honed her approach to 'a mischievous and straightforward boy' so deeply that she herself has said playing Metabee made it possible for her to play Naruto. On the music side she sang the opening theme 'Chie to Yuuki da! Medabots' for the show, channeling her acting strengths into a passionate vocal that gave momentum to the robot battles of the main story. She remains a veteran active across both voice acting and singing.
