Rui Nagai is a musician active across singing, composing, arranging, and producing. His signature work is the opening theme 'BIG-O!' for the TV anime 'The Big O,' which he wrote, composed, arranged, and performed himself. Reflecting his deep reverence for Queen, the heavy, dramatic rock sound became an anthem for the retro-futuristic world of the show, and under current rights handling it is credited as a co-write with Brian May. He has also been involved in music production for many other anime works, including 'Sailor Moon R,' 'Dragon Ball Z,' 'Yu Yu Hakusho,' and 'Sgt. Frog.'
