Melon Kinenbi was a four-member female idol group that belonged to Hello! Project. They are also known for keeping the same line-up from formation through disbandment, and they hold enduring popularity as one of the units that supported the dawn of Hello! Project. The ending theme 'Amai Anata no Aji' for the TV anime 'Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Revenge' was their major-debut single, a sweet and bouncy pop number with lyrics and music by Tsunku that gave a lively flourish to the close of this fantasy work. Until they wrapped up their activities with their farewell show at Nakano Sun Plaza, they built a distinct niche through their live shows and a more rock-leaning catalog.
