HUMMING BIRD is a Japanese hard rock band based in Kanagawa, centered on vocalist Yoshiki Fukuyama. After Fukuyama handled the singing on Fire Bomber-related songs in 'Macross 7,' the band came to take on music for many anime works. For the TV anime 'Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon,' Fukuyama composed and the band arranged the opening theme 'Hikari Naki Yoru wo Yuke,' cutting through the heavy mood of this bunraku-puppet mystery with rock sound led by his piercing high-tone vocal. The band paused activity for a time and later reunited, gathering devoted support for their hard-edged texture.
