Akiko Yajima is a female voice actress active since the late 1980s. She earned nationwide recognition as the original voice of Shinnosuke Nohara in Crayon Shin-chan for more than a quarter century, and her portfolio includes Relena Peacecraft in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Kohaku in Inuyasha, Mepple in Futari wa Pretty Cure, and Ayumi Himekawa in Glass Mask. As an anime singer she performed Sorekara..., the ending of the voice-actress omnibus Seraphim Call, expressing the heroine's inner feelings with a delicate vocal. She is also highly regarded as a versatile dub artist for child roles.
